B’Elanna Torres – Roxann Dawson
Kicking off this list is our favorite part-human, part-Klingon engineer, B’Elanna Torres. Played by Roxann Dawson, Torres graced our screens in the full, seven-season suite of Star Trek: Voyager. The talented Dawson also made her directorial debut during this time. With such a brilliant platform, Dawson enjoyed a solid television career, staring in a number of other shows while simultaneously making a big impression as a talented director.
The multi-talented woman directed some of our favorite episodes of Charmed, The Mentalist, The O.C., Cold Case, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Lost. Lately, she’s turned her talents to producing with credits on a number of successful shows, including Cold Case, Crossing Jordan, and Scandal.
The Wisdom Segment

The first TV remote ever made was not wireless. It had a wire connecting it to the Television set, that allowed it to switch the TV on or off, and turn the tuner through the aid of a motor. It was created in the 1950s by the Lazy Bones.

A man’s friend forced him to eat his own beard by threatening him with a knife when they began to argue over whether or not to sell a used lawnmower. The psychopath friend was eventually arrested, charged and fined with assault.

A cargo ship that traveled from Hong Kong to the United States of America in 1992 tipped over mid-journey, dumping a whole crate of rubber duck into the ocean. About 25 years after the incident, rubber ducks were still found floating around the area.

Cats that have three colors of fur, for the exception of the color grey, are most likely female. They belong to a group of cats called 'Calico'. One of the three colors is usually white.

The oldest form of the malaria parasite was found many years ago in mosquitoes in the tomb of Tutankhamen. To confirm that it was an original malaria-causing parasite, an extensive DNA test was done.

The second richest man in the history of the world is Augustus Caesar, who was worth up to $460 billion if inflation is considered. However, Mansa Musa, the king of Timbuktu is said to be the wealthiest man in the history of the world, although some will say he cheated because he had more wealth than anyone was able to quantify at the time.
